Sundays are meant for food, food and more food.
Well, for mom, aunt and I anyway. We tend to get carried away whenever we go out in search of good food.
After much indecision, we ended up at Subang Parade.
The once dead and quiet mall is now bright and filled with life again.
Shows you what a good face-lift can do for business.
By the way, parking rates have changed - they charge by the hour now. Just FYI.
Lunch was uneventful, refused to eat at Esquire Kitchen (yet again!) so we ended up at this Nonya cafe.
Food was decent, service was tolerable.
Walked around for a bit after lunch.
Then aunt wanted to have tea, mom wanted a drink, I just followed as usual.
And discovered quite a gem hidden in plain sight.
We've walked past it countless of times without actually seeing it.
Dessert's Bar. The name says it all. Loved the creative decor and the innovative menu.

Everything on the menu looked good, had a hard time deciding what to order. So we ordered plenty. So much for just having a drink.
I had a pear with white wine sorbet - totally delicious!

Mom had the Mango and Lime sorbet - which was pretty good, preferred mine though...

Aunt's Mangorita was a visual delight!

Of course a dessert each wasn't enough (for greedy people like us), so we ordered extra for sharing.

Doesn't it look good?
By the time we finished everything we had ordered, we still weren't quite ready to leave. So aunt had a brilliant idea and we ordered another dessert.

Berry Delicious - Raspberries set in jelly and creamy vanilla panna cotta
served with strawberry, slathered with honey.
Needless to say, by the time we were done with it we were totally satisfied.
I think if we could, we would have ordered one of everything on the menu.
But there's always another day.
In the meantime, you can visit their website and drool at the pictures
here.
So who's up for dessert?

You Are a Glazed Donut

Okay, you know that you're plain - and you're cool with that.
You prefer not to let anything distract from your sweetness.
Your appeal is understated yet universal. Everyone dig you.
And in a pinch, you'll probably get eaten.

Hie Carrie!
Nice to find your blog! btw Subang Parade's open air parking is only by hour. The basement is still flatrate RM2. (I hope)
Did you park in basement or open air?
Take care!
Hi Li Kuan.
Parked in basement. They recently changed the parking rates.
No more flat rates. Sigh.
Nice to hear from you!
