  • Shopaholic Returns

    The sales have begun.

    I'm dead.

You would think that I would save money for my upcoming trip to Hong Kong (I leave in 4 days!).

But no, I have to go on a shopping spree.

I thought I had myself under control when I went shopping with Tracy and the boys on Monday. I didn't buy a thing. I only bought a necklace. Hey, it was half price. There is no resistance for that kind of bargain.

I even spent Wednesday out of the house with the boyfriend and came home empty handed.

Then I got the call that brought out the shopaholic diva in me.

I mean, how can you say no to shopping with a friend you've not seen in ages, offers to drive to Midvalley, and invites you to be her guest at a sale for members only? You don't.

Spent almost the whole day at Midvalley Megamall and the Gardens with Wendy. Literally.

Came home with lingerie from La Senza (I can never have enough stuff from this place), a pair of pants from Zara, a top from Naf Naf and 2 shirts for the boyfriend from Marks & Spencers. While it didn't seem like much, my wallet definitely felt it bad.

Which was really nothing compared to the following day.

Decided to meet up with mom for lunch at KLCC. Had errands to run so ended up there late.

Had a quick lunch at The Lawn.

Since I had time to kill, I did what I do best. Spend money.

By the time mom got off work, my feet were aching and so were my hands. On the bright side, I got more lingerie, a dress from Zara, a bag for Tracy from MNG, 2 books from Kinokuniya, and an amazing pair of skirt/shorts from Topshop. Bad news, I need to barricade myself in my room for the next 5 months before my debts can be settled.

Mom got off work. Since traffic was bad, we decided to eat before we headed home. Stopped at Sunway Pyramid because it was on the way. Had dinner at Dragon-i.

Xiao Long Bao - no other place does it as well...

Ordered too much as usual and had to pack up the leftovers. Walked around for a bit because we had a little time for once - we usually get to Sunway Pyramid on Friday nights with just enough time for dinner. Promod was having their sale and decided to check it out for fun. Bad idea. Came out with another 2 tops.

So much for saving for Hong Kong. Oh well.

Carrie's cupcake project this week: Blondies which is supposed to be a pale version of Brownies.

Looks good, smells even better. Don't know how it tastes like since I don't like nuts.

I don't usually eat what I bake. Weird, I know.

    You Are Black Pepper
You may be considered ordinary by some, but you're far from boring.
You elevate the mood of any discussion, and people miss you when you're not around.
You are secretly very dominant and powerful. Most can only take you in small doses.
